Our Story

Al-Lateef Islamic School was established by Shaykh Muhyideen Hassan, a highly respected Islamic scholar and professional agriculturist with a strong foundation in both Islamic and Western education. His journey reflects a deep commitment to knowledge, spirituality, and community development.

Educational Background

Shaykh Muhyideen Hassan was nurtured in Islamic knowledge under the tutelage of his maternal grandfather, Sheikh Alhaj Lawal Ishola in Aregun Town, Ilorin East, Kwara State. His academic pursuit in Western education includes:

  • Primary Education – Ojagboro Local Government Area School, Ilorin.
  • Secondary Education – Bishop Smith Memorial College, Ilorin.
  • Tertiary Education –
    • Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria
    • Niger State College of Agriculture, Mokwa
    • Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso

Spiritual Journey

Shaykh Muhyideen Hassan’s spiritual path is deeply rooted in the Tijaniyyah Sufi order, having undergone rigorous training under prominent scholars, including:

  • Sheikh Abubakr Adeta, Ilorin – Initiation and Bay’ah (Oath of Allegiance) into the Tijaniyyah order.
  • Sheikh Amosa Orioko, Ilorin – Advanced spiritual training in Tarbiya.
  • Sheikh Nuru-l-Hakeem – Further refinement of his spiritual knowledge.
  • Sheikh Jamiu Bulala (Amir-ul Aoliyah) – Strengthened and fortified his spiritual foundation.

His spiritual lineage connects directly to the esteemed Tijaniyyah Sufi scholars, ultimately tracing back to Sheikh Ahmad Tijani (RA), the founder of the Tijaniyyah order, and Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
